This is a 40 hour driver training program (up to 5 hours per day).  Successful completion of the program could result in an offer for a permanent driver position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent plus ability to operate school bus and related equipment
2. Good driving record
3. Eligible for CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement
4. Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with students, parents, supervisor and fellow workers

Director of Transportation and Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Finance

JOB GOALS:

Training to acquire a CDL Class B License with Passenger and School Bus Driver Endorsement

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Arrive to class on time every day for training
2. Participate in Behind the Wheel training
3. Participate in book study
4. Complete written assessments
5. Obtain their full license in a time span no longer than 40 hours.
