NOTE: This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Missouri Teacher Certification
- Experience in implementing effective instructional practices
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or higher
- Experience with teacher training

JOB GOAL:
To facilitate increased student achievement by providing on-site professional development,
modeling/coaching, and support for implementation of best instructional and assessment practices in the classroom to improve teaching and learning.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Through side by side coaching, increase the instructional capacity of teachers in building their teaching skills, applying new knowledge, and providing ongoing professional development.
- Provide intentional and ongoing support to teachers, grade levels and departments, to improve the quality of teaching and learning through increased use of research-based practices.
- Support teachers by searching out resources regarding effective instruction and assessment practices and emerging trends that will enhance the curriculum and increase student achievement.
- Model lessons, provide opportunities for teachers to watch and learn new strategies, and observe teachers, giving feedback which helps them to improve and refine their instructional practices.
- Assist in developing and facilitating professional development activities at the building level in implementing the District’s focus areas, specific emphasis to include priority standards, problem/project/challenge-based learning, and frameworks which promote students’ collaboration and facilitation of their own learning.
- Assist teachers in ensuring that District curriculum and assessment protocols are guaranteed to all students.
- Utilize the School Improvement Process with teaching teams to analyze student performance data in order to inform instructional practices and District programming decisions.
- Plan and implement staff development activities including the integration of digital resources into classroom instruction to expedite and deepen student learning.
- Provide training to students and staff in developing required competencies in the District adopted technology standards and instructional software.
- Have a thorough understanding of the District's instructional management system, curriculum revision and assessment development processes, and student performance reporting systems.
- Meet monthly and work collaboratively with other district instructional coaches.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Teacher contracted year plus fifteen (10) additional days: salary to be established by the Board. |
