NOTE: This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Missouri Teacher Certification
- Experience in implementing effective instructional practices
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or higher
- Experience with teacher training
REPORTS TO:
Director of Curriculum and Instruction
JOB GOAL:
To facilitate increased student achievement by providing leadership, expertise and training in developing and delivering core curriculum in all grade levels and content areas.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, review and revise current district curriculum to ensure that it meets the following expectations:
- Aligned to state priority standards
- Includes common summative assessments that are aligned to the content and rigor of the state standards
- Comprehensive units of study that include both required and optional resources
- Lead and organize curriculum writing sessions.
- In collaboration with the Director of C&I, coordinate the scheduling of building assessment windows and the development of detailed assessment plans to monitor student progress effectively.
- Design and facilitate district professional development tailored to the needs of our educators and priorities of the district, focusing on the latest educational research, teaching strategies, and content knowledge.
- Organize and lead induction programs for new teachers, including but not limited to, June Jumpstart and New Staff Academy.
- Engage in weekly strategic planning sessions with the Director of C&I to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps in curriculum and instruction across the district.
- Support the implementation of instructional resources in classrooms and provide ongoing professional development to ensure these tools are utilized to their full potential.
- Conduct an annual comprehensive review of the district’s curriculum to identify areas for improvement, ensure alignment with current standards and research, and make recommendations for revisions.
- Assist teachers in ensuring that District curriculum and assessment protocols are guaranteed to all students.
- Meet regularly and work collaboratively with other district instructional coaches
- Perform other duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Teacher contracted year plus twenty (20) additional days: salary to be established by the Board. |
