Description

  NOTE:  This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Missouri Administrative Certificate
  2. Administrative experience at the school or Central Office level
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  4. Strong organizational skills
  5. Capable of working effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds

 

REPORTS TO:

               Assistant Superintendent Human Resources

 

JOB GOAL:

            To support and facilitate positive learning climates in schools and to enable students to benefit from their educational opportunities to the fullest by eliminating, as far as possible, those problems that prevent or interfere with student learning.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Processes for resolution K-12 parent concerns regarding programming, personnel and/or discipline.
  2. Conferences with parents and students who need help in relating to the schools.
  3. Explains and interprets board discipline policies to students, parents, and the community.
  4. Serve on District Hearing Panels.
  5. Coordinates referrals of long term suspended students and at-risk students to district and community resources.
  6. Monitor bullying statute reporting requirements under BOE policy JFCF and RSMo 160.775. 
  7. Monitor bullying reporting and prepare quarterly, semester and year-end reports.
  8. Attends meetings when cases are presented in which support and/or additional information could be provided.
  9. Develops and implements a system to centrally identify and monitor academically at-risk students.
  10. Facilitates the return of dropout students to meaningful learning situations, such as Credit Recovery classes, vocational programs, GED, work experiences or other worthwhile programs that have meaning for the students.
  11. Works collaboratively with high school administrators to conduct a continuing study of dropouts and graduates for MSIP monitoring.
  12. Collaborates with teachers, principals, and other school personnel in sharing information and understanding about a student, and establishes and plans for respective roles in the modification of the student’s behavior.
  13. Collaborates with various offices and agencies within the community that may provide help to students and their parents, and serves as the referral agent, for targeted students, to those offices and agencies.
  14. Processes student transfer requests.
  15. Coordinates child abuse/neglect reporting and develops and implements district procedures.
  16. Coordinate and facilitate the district's homeless student program.
  17. Coordinate Community Education programs and program evaluations.
  18. Supervises and facilitates programming of Student Success Teams.
