MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent
Applicants must have experience in high school level coaching or competing at college or university level in track and field
Experience with the High Jump, Long Jump, and/or Triple Jump preferred
Applicants must have a time schedule compatible with that of the high school.
Demonstrated ability to work with parents and children.
Coach must be available from January 2025- May 2025

100-125 students
JOB GOAL:
To support the head coach and to provide a learning environment for athletes to improve their skills.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and developing student-athletes in the pole vault event, providing technical expertise, and contributing to the overall success of the track and field program
Developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for pole vault student-athletes, focusing on skill development, strength conditioning, and injury prevention
Providing individualized coaching and feedback to student-athletes to enhance performance and technique
Planning and overseeing pole vault practices, ensuring a safe and productive training environment
Collaborating with other coaches and staff to coordinate training schedules, competition strategies, and team events
Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Athletic Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coach individual student athletes in the skills necessary for excellence in chosen sport.
- Assist head coach in planning and scheduling practices in season.
- Assist head coach in maintaining necessary paperwork.
- Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behaviors at all times and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
- Assist head coach in organizing clinics and camps when appropriate.
- Assist, organize and oversee off-season conditioning.
- Attend/participate in clinics to enhance knowledge and improve program.
DURATION OF POSITION: 6 months (winter and spring season)
FLSA: Exempt
CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
